What’s the role?

Trust Performance is looking for a Chief Operating Officer with bicycle, sporting goods, or powersports industry manufacturing experience to oversee our organization’s growing operations in the USA and Asia. As COO, you will report to our CEO and be responsible for the fluidity, responsiveness, and continuous improvement of our Salt Lake City, UT based business.

We are a growing company, with operations in both the USA and Taiwan, along with global strategic partners. We need a hardworking and people focused leader with experience in Asian product manufacturing, who can develop and maintain control of a wide variety of business operations.

What are the responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement business strategies, operating budgets, plans, and procedures
  • Set measurable and achievable metrics for performance and growth
  • Oversee daily business operations of the company and the work of Team Leaders
  • Manage implementation of procurement and manufacturing software systems and workflows
  • Lead employees to encourage efficiency, engagement, and a sense of purpose in our teams
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Report on business performance to the CEO
  • Assist CEO in fundraising activities
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors, mainly in Asia
  • Oversight of current facilities and the development of future facilities

What are the requirements?

  • Proven success as Chief Operating Office or relevant role including Asia manufacturing
  • Proven success in manufacturing company strategic planning and business development
  • Proven leader
  • Demonstrated track record for managing lead and lag measure score boards at an enterprise level
  • Understanding of business functions such as Product Development, Asia Manufacturing & Quality, Operations, IT Systems, HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product & Customer Service, and Product Demo
  • Working knowledge of design and manufacturing company data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Experience in wheeled sports (bicycle/powersports) and or vehicle suspension industries will be a plus
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
  • Experience in fundraising will be a plus
  • A passion and a methodology for coaching direct reports and piers
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Decisive and adept problem-solving and decision-making
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

Extra cool if you:

  • Can confidently handle yourself on a mountain bike, motocross bike, or BMX bike, for example; jump 15’ doubles, rip laps at the local motocross track, essentially ride the whole mountain in Whistler.
  • Are an outdoor enthusiast in mountain biking, motocross, side-by-sides, go-karting, breaking stuff, etc.
